Bungwahl is an 8.3% Baltic Porter aged for 12 months in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-maple syrup/bourbon barrels from the USA.
The result is a smooth, full-bodied dark beer with a strong malt backbone, bourbon character and subtle maple notes. Low-to-medium dark fruit esters and a creamy mouthfeel complete the beer.
Bungwahl was brewed to celebrate our ninth birthday and is named after the local village of Bungwahl, around 30km south of the brewery.
